Although this video describes an event that took place in South Africa, the same concepts can and should be applied in the United States, especially in poorer areas. Sports stars are looked up to by kids and it is extremely important that kids in poverty have positive role models in their lives. Elton tells of the kids having received skateboards and other prizes and sponsored equipment, which is extremely motivational for those kids and for other kids seeing what happened.
